CPU Stands For  " Central Processing Unit " 

CPU किसे कहते है  / What is CPU ? -

CPU किसी कंप्यूटर का मुख्य भाग होता है जिसकी सहायता से कंप्यूटर सभी प्रकार की कैलकुलेशन / प्रोसेसिंग (Processing) करता है . CPU कंप्यूटर का वह भाग होता है जो यूजर (User) द्वारा दी गयी इनपुट इंस्ट्रक्शन (Input Instruction) को प्रोसेसिंग (Processing) करके इसे आउटपुट (Output) में बदलता (Convert) है जिस दौरान यह विभिन्न प्रकार के प्रोग्राम्स (Programs) का इस्तेमाल (Use) करता है . CPU को प्रोसेसर कहा जाता है . इसे कंप्यूटर का दिमाग भी कहा जाता है .

CPU के मुख्य भाग / Main Parts of CPU 

CPU के तीन मुख्य भाग होते है.

• ALU - Arithmetic Logic Unit  (अर्थमैटिक लॉजिक यूनिट ).
• Control Unit - (कण्ट्रोल यूनिट).
• Internal Memory - (इंटरनल मेमोरी)

कंम्प्यूटर शब्द अंग्रेजी के "Compute" शब्द से बना है, जिसका अर्थ है "गणना", करना इसीलिए इसे गणक या संगणक भी कहा जाता है, इसका अविष्‍कार Calculation करने के लिये हुआ था, पुराने समय में Computer का use केवल Calculation करने के लिये किया जाता था किन्‍तु आजकल इसका use डाक्‍यूमेन्‍ट बनाने, E-mail, listening and viewing audio and video, play games, database preparation के साथ-साथ और कई कामों में किया जा रहा है
